Meet the Staff at TEAM Hughes Real Estate School in Florida

Carrie Hughes

About Carrie, TEAM Hughes Real Estate School instructor: Hailing from Monticello, FL, Carrie Hughes began her career in real estate in 1983, where she eventually worked into management and ownership of her own franchise. Having had a paralegal background, Carrie was always interested in encouraging agents to understand the right way to practice real estate, not necessarily the easiest way. Eventually, her passion for teaching and training surfaced. Beginning a 4-year degree program in Workforce Education and Development while in her 40's, Carrie finally obtained her Bachelor of Science degree 14 years later, thus validating a path she had long since chosen!

In addition to Board and MLS positions, Carrie served as Director of Training and Recruiting at a large real estate firm. Retiring at age 56 and becoming full-time RVers, Carrie and her husband traveled the country as part of an RV ministry from 2006 until 2014. While travelling, she taught pre licensing and post licensing classes in Charleston, SC several times a year for the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS®, and enjoyed presenting several designation courses for the National Association of REALTORS® throughout the country as well.

Carrie has worked as a fulltime year-after-year high-producing REALTOR®, she's been a competing manager, a noncompeting owner of a Century 21 franchise, a trainer and a recruiter during her extensive career. Now she does what she loves! Excited to be living back in her beloved Florida, Carrie presents courses in a way that will keep students interested, and her unique sense of humor and life experiences help her to successfully pass information on to her students that will help them pass the State Exam. Her accelerated one-week fast track pre license salesman course is becoming popular among those who wish to jump-start their career in the field of real estate.

With over 30 years in the industry and 20 years teaching and training, Carrie Hughes has developed a reputation as one of the best real estate instructors in the Pensacola area.

Bob Hughes

About Bob, TEAM Hughes Real Estate School instructor: Bob grew up in Oceanside, CA where he started diving and surfing in 1964. Upon completing active duty in the US Navy Reserves in 1969, he started a career as a commercial diver and surveyor, which he maintained until January of 2005, when he was injured on a dive project and was forced to find a new career.

Bob has a degree in Electronic Engineering, but his passion was not in that field. He wanted to join his wife in her chosen field. Having been a fulltime REALTOR® and a multimillion dollar producer, Bob and Carrie retired early and became fulltime RVers through an RV Ministry that allowed them to travel the country to build churches, Teen Challenges and Christian colleges.

Bob's love of teaching goes back to his earliest diving days from instructing new team members. After 9+ years in the RV Ministry, he and Carrie settled in Florida, where Carrie has roots, and became a Florida licensed real estate instructor so he could join Carrie in her endeavors. Together, Bob and Carrie Hughes make an awesome team of real estate instructors. They complement one another's style, which seems to work because they have an outstanding pass rate for their students.

Judy Jenness

Judy Jenness lives in Farmington, New Hampshire, and thanks to today's technology, Judy maintains the TEAM Hughes database. She is a grandmother of three and is married to Jerry Jenness. Both Judy and Jerry have been long-time friends of TEAM Hughes, and we are blessed to have her on staff.

Nancy Scarberry

Nancy Scarberry lives in Pace, FL, and she is TEAM Hughes' day-to-day operations assistant. Originally from West Virginia, she and her husband, Bob, moved here a couple years ago. Because Nancy is local, we call on her for everything from typing to manning the phones. She is vital to the success of our school, and we couldn't be happier that she is with us.
